I earned a B.A. in Studio Art at Baylor University and started work on an M.F.A. at Texas Tech. Much of my school work was semi-abstract printmaking, but in recent years I have found great joy in two subjects – children’s murals and pet portraits.
As a life-long dog lover, I am inspired by the loyal, noble, ridiculous companions we choose to add to our families. The first portrait I painted was of my Boston Terrier Ruby’s “crazy face”. I soon added one of my beautiful, clownish Doberman Reyna. I love the paintings, and I truly enjoy providing a lasting tribute to other people’s beloved animals as well. The portraits make wonderful gifts.
Seeing a child’s eyes light up when they see a dolphin, train, or princess castle in their very own room is incredibly fun. However, after the birth of my first daughter, I realized just how special a nursery can be. Parents spend an enormous amount of time in their baby’s room, and it should be a personalized place that makes everyone feel happy.
Thank you for visiting my site, and I hope to get to know you and your kids (furry or not) soon!
